The European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) is a prestigious scientific association for those studying diabetes. The 2022 Annual Conference was hosted in the beautiful city of Stockholm and Estenda was there!
What is the EASD?
The EASD is the European Association for the Study of Diabetes. This year’s conference was held in #stockholm , Sweden from September 19-23 as a hybrid event.
The conference featured a variety of sessions on various topics related to diabetes. Some of the topics covered included new treatments for diabetes, research findings, and current issues in diabetes care, as well as #covid19 effects, both short and long term.
Networking with healthcare professionals, medical device manufacturers & diabetes advocates from around the world was exhilarating. The #easd2022 conference increased our knowledge about the latest advances in diabetes care and we were excited to meet other people & companies who are passionate about improving the lives of people with diabetes.
Event Highlights
This year the European Association for the Study of Diabetes e.V. (EASD) Team did not disappoint! All 5 days were jam-packed with presentations and symposiums as well as daily discussions on developments & innovation in diabetes.
This year’s event welcomed advocates, doctors, researchers and medical device companies from across the globe!
The presentation & exhibit floor including 9 halls were packed with the latest in technological advances in diabetic health and enhancements and innovation in upcoming devices, as well as presentations on mental health, exercise & diet, daily glucose monitoring & innovations with insulin pumps.
As an added bonus, this year paid special attention to the last few years of dealing with a global pandemic, and researchers featured presentations on impact of COVID-19 on diagnoses, monitoring, and mortality; {Martin K. Rutter, UK} – as well as obesity, diabetes and post-COVID-19 syndrome; {Stefan R. Borstein, Germany}.

Conclusion
We were proud to represent Estenda at the 2023 EASD conference this year. We are also excited to be an integral part of so much new and innovative research on diabetes treatments and management. We look for to expanding our new relationships and digging deeper into the needs of established connections, to continue to work toward better health and management for all with diabetes.
